Mieko Miyazaki is today one of the world's leading ambassadors of the koto.

Trained in Japan in the most demanding tradition, she has established herself on the international stage thanks to an approach that is both respectful of its roots and resolutely modern.

She performs regularly in Europe, Asia, and the United States, in prestigious venues and international festivals, collaborating with musicians from diverse backgrounds (classical, jazz, world music).

Her work “The Current” was recognized by the Hogaku Journal as one of the 30 greatest koto compositions of all time, a testament to its influence in renewing the repertoire.
